how do I share files and printers using my Linksys route in Window

I have a Linksys 10/100 Cable/DSL router and I share my hi-speed cable
connection. I have two computers. The first computer is a Pentium 4 and is
running Windows XP Pro SP2. The second computer is a Celeron D computer, also
running Windows XP SP2, but it's home edition. The first printer connected on
my Pentium 4 computer is an Epson Stylus C64. The second printer on the
Celeron is the Canon BJC-250 lite.

I want to know how can I share printers between those two computers and be
able to share files between computers. I've been studying this for almost a
year and I tried using the networking wizard and manually configuring the
settings, but with no success.

Has anyone done this process before? If so, how did you overcome with it?
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

Simon,

File and printer sharing is a matter of establishing connectivity, then
permissioning. There are quite a few details in those two items. Here are a
couple places to start.

If you need help, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, as a diagnostic aid. Read this article, and linked articles, and
follow instructions precisely:

Please let us know if any of these suggestions are of any help. What you learn
may help others in the future, and that's the purpose of these forums.

You have 2 computers, so "ipconfig /all" from both will tell us some of what we
need to know. If you will please read the articles, download browstat, and
provide "browstat status" from both, that will tell us additional information.
So, you're 25% done with diagnostics.

Simon,

The output from "browstat status" is key to diagnosing your problem. Browstat
is free, and installs easily.
