First, this group is for the Access Database program. There are Windows XP
groups for Windows XP questions.
Second, go to
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and follow the
instructions. The site may need to download updates to Windows Update before
it offers the service pack. If there are other updates to install for
Windows, don't install them (except for the ones needed to get Windows
Update to work) until you install the service pack. Many of them are
included in the service pack. However, there are also several updates that
have come out since SP2, so once you have the SP installed, you'll need to
go back to Windows Update to get the latest patches.
Windows Update has been updated to Microsoft Update, but the site should
automatically take you there once you've installed the updates for the
update site.
