How do I set the Value of an ActiveX Control

I placed the ActiveX Calendar Control on my Main Menu Form in an Access
Database. I would like the Value in the Properties for the Calendar to be set
at the Current Date when the Main Menu is Opened on Startup. When a user
Clicks or Selects a particular date on the Calendar, I would like it to Open
the Form "Events" for that particular Date. Could anyone Please help me to
accomplish this ?
