How do I set the default so that new documents cascade, not overla

I think this is a Windows question. When I open a new excel document, it
overlays the exisiting document. I can use Windows - Arrange - Cascade each
time, but I would like to set the default to cascade so I don't have to do
that. Can you help me?
 
You cannot set a default to Cascade.

You can set Tools>Options>View "Windows in Taskbar"

The newly opened workbook will overlay but you can select from the Windows
Taskbar.
