How do I set a powerpoint attachment to open automatically?

I want to send a powerpoint presentation in an email. When the recipient
opens the email, I would like the presentation to start on its own. How do I
do this?

Save it as PowerPoint Show (*.PPS) or rename a .PPT file and give it a .PPS file
extension. The file is unchanged and it's the same format, but the "S" just
tells PowerPoint to open it in Show mode. The file can also still be opened and
edited by just opening PowerPoint and going to File > Open.

In addition to what Sonia said, the recipient must have either PowerPoint or the
PowerPoint viewer installed on their computer

In addition to what Sonia and Michael said: the presentation will open
automatically upon opening the presentatino, but it will not open just by
opening the email message. The recipient will still have to open the
attachment (probably by double-clicking on it).

No, there is no easy way to do this -- if there is any way at all.

If it were possible, it would constitute (yet another) major security
risk.

Hopefully, in this day and age no one is stupid enough to do that. ;-)
