How do I save my calander and contacts

I need to restore factory settings on my laptop. How do I save the
information I have on my calander and my contacts?

You need to export them to a pst file, one each for each file (remember to
name them differently and remember where they are placed.

Once you reload, then import them back into the same folders. Actually is a
pretty simple process.

Nope... just find the pst and copy it. BTW - import and export are bad.

Outlook stores your messages stores (OST and PST) as hidden files in
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook. You can easily access it by pasting
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
in the Address bar of your browser or Windows Explorer.

Note that by default, Windows hides some of your user profile folders from
you. Change the settings in Windows Explorer's Tools, Folder Options, View
tab to show hidden files and folders and remove the check from hide system
files.
