how do i save a word document to disc using Windows 7?

i am trying to save a document in word via Windows 7 and I am having a hard
time trying to figure out how to get this done...can anyone help out with
this?

Don't even think of saving it to disc. Save it to your hard drive, then Copy
or Send to the disc.
