How do I save a form so that someone can bring it up and type in the blanks
without all the formatting moving around and screwing up the form?

formatting moving around? Are you typing into a WORD form? I have
_never_ seen what you describe. And I've been mucking with Access
since like A95...

Why on earth would the "formatting move around"?

Could you be more specific. Normalcy that would not be a problem.

You have created a form. Can you tell us a little about it. Is it based
on a single table maybe a query etc.. Is it set to do data entry? Are the
fields on the form have any properties set that would change the format?

Tell us exactly what you mean by formatting moving around? I don't
thing that is an official Access term. :-)

Okay, specifics... Creating a jewelry appraisal form in Microsoft Word.
Used tables for description of jewelry and then appraised value. Amateur
here... On the title (i.e. Property Owner_______________ )where the jeweler
puts the date and name of owner, etc. when she types the text moves and
realigns the other things in line with it. I want her to be able to fill in
the blanks without having to reposition the whole form. Freezing text, or
whatever you call it. How do I do that? Thanks for your help. :) MW

I don't think you can do exactly what you want using Access.

You can have the user input the data into Access and then have Access
send that data to MS Word where it will then appear, filling in the blanks
and Word will reformat the text.

If you do not need the data stored in a database for future use or
reference, Word has some nice features to help you use a 'Template" and fill
in the spaces. You may want to consider that.
