How do I retrieve an archived message?

I have deleted an e-mail message from the Deleted Items folder by accident.
I am trying to retrieve this message--if possible? How? I am not using a
Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail account.

Your subject indicates archived message, but description advises deleted
message .... hope this helps

Open the "Deleted Items" folder
See if you have the option of "Recover Deleted Items" under the tool option
of the menu bar ... if so, use that option to attempt a recovery

The OP said that they are *NOT* using Exchange as their mail server. So
Recover won't work since that is an Exchange-only function. The other
replies have already indicate possible recovery mechanisms. But then if
the OP's data was actually valuable then they would be doing backups and
could recover the old .pst file from there and open it separately within
Outlook (File -> Open).
 
I do back-up my files. However, I cannot recove the old .pst file. So, I
guess I'm out of luck.
