How do I retain the same "signature"

in the "From" field when resending the same email. I'm using gmail to
Outlook.

Um, signatures aren't in the From field, they're at the bottom of the message.
To what are you referring? Are you saying that you want to send a message
through the gmail server but want a non-gmail address to be the sender? If
that's not what you mean, please explain more fully.

I tried to put a tennis ball in the "from" field the other day, guess what
happened to the message.

Brian, thanks for responding. I didn't think I was making myself clear.

I'm using Outlook 2007 and have my gmail account forwarding emails from
gmail to Outlook. It used to be that whenever I sent an email from Outlook
to several different people, one at a time, the same email, the "From" tab
had the line listed as, "Robert M. Bochy, Executive Recruiter". The next
time I resent the same email, the "From" line changed from "Robert M. Bochy,
Executive Recruiter" to "Bob Bochy@ gmail.com". Now I have to change this to
"Robert M. Bochy, Executive Recruiter" each time I resend the same email.
Why did it change and what, if anything, can I do to reset the "From" line to
always be "Robert M. Bochy, Executive Recruiter" instead of reverting to "Bob
Bochy@gmail" and then have to manually change it back? Clear?

If you're inclined, I can be reached at 614-385-8222. Otherwise, I'll try
to follow this post. Thanks! Bob

Sorry, but you cannot forward gmail to Outlook. Outlook is not a mail server.
You can forward messages from one mail server to another, not to a client.
You need a mailbox on a server to receive mail. Outlook, as a mail client,
can then access than mailbox to get the messages in it. Please describe what
you'r *actually* doing.

That's gmail's fault, not Outlook's. Gmail will show your gmail address as
the sender even if the sending address you have defined is different. I
believe you can avoid this by configuring your gmail account to add your
additional addresses. Sign into gmail via your web browser, click Setting,
then Accounts, and add your other address to the "Send mail as" section.
