How do I restore .pst files

I formatted my HD and now am trying to restore all my archived email messages
that contain some registration and ID #. How do I restore .pst files to my
current application. Please help.

Hi Eric,
if you have archived your mails, you have created pst files.
So please open your Outlook FILES | OPEN | DATAFILES and point to the *.pst
files to open it.
 
Copy them back to your harddisk and remove the "Read Only" file attribute.
Then connect to it by File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
