How do I replicate Lotus WordPro ClickHere blocks in Word?

I have been a Lotus WordPro user for nearly ten years. In WordPro I can set
up a document to collect information, when it is opened, in a dialog box
which then transfers the different items in predetermined places throughout
the document. The places are called ClickHere Blocks and they are automted
using SmartCollect.
Can anyone tell me if there is a similar facility in Word?

There is no equivalent in Word to Lotus' Click Here Blocks, either when they are used in a simple way as placeholders or in a more advanced way with scripts. However, as Graham's response suggests, there are said to be alternatives in Word to the SmartCollect and Repeated CHB functions in Word Pro. Speaking personally, I use both programs and have read about everything I can get my hands on for the last year and a half regarding the subject, and have never been able to replicate the function you are looking for; nevertheless, it must exist. So if you get it to work, I'd appreciate an e-mail with instructions. (Address below.)
