How do I replace blank fields with a zero in database table

I am trying to add a bunch of fields, but I'm getting a blank answer.
I think that some fields are blank then it is not adding correctly.
can I replace blank fields in a database table with a ZERO the same way I
can do it in Excel.
By the way the fields are number fields.
