When I start my computer, I am asked to choose between Windows Vista &
Recovered. The recovered Version is bad, and if I am not in the room when it
starts it automatically uses that version. How do I remove that from My
computer?

I'd like to ask the question the other way: my Vista reverted itself to a
System Restore (I guess) of October 2006, this April 13, 2007. Eventually,
the whole OS seemed to crap out, until I put in the system disk, and
eventually it repaired it to a level that showed the "Vista Recovered" menu
item. Selecting this brought me back to my current configuration. And now I
always must select it at boot.

I imagine there is a .ini file, just like in XP, to deal with boot menus.
But I would like to know =why did my Vista auto-restore to an earlier point???
