how do i remove second xp install

I'm running xp home edition and computer crashed had
error of system file/s missing so I when and reinstalled
win-xp and set up ask me to rename new win install file
now I have two windows files how do I remove second win
file
 
Youll need to run recovery,#307654 Then in recovery,press enter for
password,then at cmd screen type:DiskPart In DiskPart,locate the
unwanted partition (xp),then delete it,when thru,press Esc key,back
in cmd,type:EXIT

Sounds like they have two installs on the same partition. Your fix will not
work.
