How do I remove multiple operating systems during boot?

I reinstalled XP Home. During the boot process, the system interupts and provides me with the following

Please select the operating system to start
Microsoft Windows XP Home Editio
Microsoft Windows XP Home Editio

Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice
Press ENTER th choose

The first selection is the new operating syste
The second is not bootable. - How do I remove the second one?
