How do I remove an attachment from an Inbox message?

An OUTLOOK Question:
'When I have a large attachment on an Inbox message, I want to save it on
the hardrive (I can do that) and delete the attachment such that I still have
the orignal email in place w/o the attachment (I can't do that).
I don't want to forward it to myself w/o attachment as that changes the FROM
and the DATE/TIME.

Open the message, right-click on the attachment and select "Remove".
