How do I reduce transition times to less than 1 second?

I am trying an experiment to see what viewers perceive with short exposure to
slides. To finally give quick view presentations which will be short and
remembered. I want to reduce the time of exposure to one or two slides in a
presentation to less than one second to see if the slide was seen.

I beleive in the transistions box under advance slide you can literally type
in 00:01 or whatever to override the one second you are trying to avoid.

PowerPoint might not be a good platform for this. Timings in PowerPoint
tend to be approximate. If you really need exact timings, you might want
to look elsewhere.

True. But if "just blast 'em by as fast as possible" is ok and you keep the
slides simple, Rich's suggestion should work. Simple slides, so-so computer,
transition time set to 00:00.1 -- ten slides hop past in about three seconds.

I'm not going to go into competition with Disney, y'understand. ;-)
