How do I read multipart yEnc messages in Outlook new reader?

Many newsgroup messages are multipart, labelled yEnc. When I mark them and
choose combine and Decode, they still turn out to be unreadable. Is there
something else I need to do?

1) Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup
2) Download and install a yEnc proxy or get Xnews.
