How do i re-enable my mouse to select text & right click in Word?

I was attempting to apply a template to an existing document and now I am
unable to select anything in Word. I have closed it and re-opened in with no
success. I can use the mouse to select options from the file menu; however, I
cannot select any text, right click or anything with the mouse within the
document body. Please help.
 
Then maybe you clicked on the Select Objects tool (the big white
arrow) on the Drawing toolbar? If yes, then click on it again to
turn it off.
