how do I put a name in a footer in access 2007?

How do I put a name and date in the footer section of access 2007. It is also
in a form that I need to do this.

If you mean in the Statusbar, that's done with the archaeic SysCmd
function. Find it in the help file.
If you mean in the "footer" of a form where the navigation controls
are: that can't be done.

What do you mean by name? the username...

The date is a field you can just add in the footer by choosing the
designtools in the designtab. Look under controls for "Date and Time".
Ofcourse you do have to expand the footer a bit and if you don't have a
footer yet then click in the [Arrange tab] and under the Show/Hide group
click [Form Header/Footer].
