How do I properly send an attached video clip in an e-mail?

I have been having trouble sending an attached video clip via the internet
(e-mail)
I have been receiving responses reguarding my security settings.
I never had problems sending attachments until I bought my new Windows Vista
system.
Please help me - thanks
 
And those responses would be...?
Which method are you using?
Which version of Outlook?
Are you sure your file is not to big to be sent for your ISP?
