How do I open links on the web from Outlook?

I get emails with links to websites that I want to go to but every time I try
to click on one of those links, it would start up my AOL. I want to go
directly to internet explorer though. So I deleted my AOL software from my
computer and now when I click on a link it pulls up a "Locate Link Browser".
How do I get around this?

Open IE and click Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Reset Web Settings.
