How do i modify the status dropdown menu items when use in tasks?

That said...what version of Outlook are you using? Are you looking at the
Tasks folder or ? Sometimes what you need to do is edit the current view
settings to allow for "In-Cell Editing."

I am using Outlook 2003. I am looking in the task folder and am using the
category list filter. I wish to change the dropdown items such as "in
progress" or "not started" to something more pertinent to my business. Also,
I am unfamiliar with "In-cell editing". Thank you for your assistance.

Ah. Well the status field isn't editable as far as I know but it wouldn't
be too tough to create a custom field with values that suit you.

View | Arrange By | Current View | Customize Current View...

Play around in there and you should find some options for adding custom
fields and turning on Allow In-Cell Editing (Other Settings).
