Stephanie, so nice to hear from you,
You probably want to turn off the auto-layout options. This will resize and
move things around the slide in a misguided effort to help.
To do this, from the main edit window, click on Tools => Autocorrect
options... => and uncheck the bottom three items. This will not
automatically change the size of the text back, but will keep other text
from changing.
To fix the size of the words in your reptile list, select the text frame or
all the text in the shape and use the Ctl + ] (hold the Ctrl button down and
hit the ] key as often as you need) to step the font size bigger. Ctl + [
will step the size down.
Post back if this does not completely fix what you need.
