Hi!

My first time here :)

I want to make a list of names of VIP's that have been invited to be
Guest Speakers at past functions.

Their names will be in a column on the left.

I want to have all the years they were invited at the top of the excel
page. The years..1991, 1992, 1993, 1994....etc..
should run at the top, but to save room I want to make the year
columns/title's be vertical or diagonal cells.

So...how do I make the cell's with the year-names be vertical or
diagonal.

Please and Thank you!

Thanks!

However, when I do that 'format' alignment...orientation...'

it changes the direction of the text only.

How can I change the angle of the top cell itself?

I want the 'box' shape of the cell at the top of the page to

be going in a diagonal line to the right.:

If you put a border around the cell you will notice that if the text is diagonal the cell will be

If you apply a border, Excel will tilt it with the text
