How do I make an Icon?

If you do not have a program that will save a picture file as an icon
(i.e. with a .ico extension) then get the free program Irfanview
from:-

If you have a picture that you wish to convert to an icon then go to
step 2


1. Make a suitable picture using Paint or some similar program
best to use a size with equal dimensions. Icons should be
32 x 32 pixels. But you can reduce to that after creating the pic.

2. Load picture into Irfanview (or similar program)

3. Resize to 32 x 32 pixels

4. Select menu item File|Save As
Go to the "Save as type" box and select
ICO - Windows icon
Enter a suitable name and click "Save"
