How do i make a large table break across COLUMBS in Word?

I would like to divide my large table in Word onto several pages. I know you
can make tables break across rows but i would like to continue my table on
the next page with subsequent columbs. Can this be done?
 
Not without breaking the table in two.

If the problem is that there are so many columns that you haven't
enough room for the cell contents, you could reduce the font size
and/or put the table on a page in a landscape section.

Only Excel can do this. Can you move the table to Excel? Which version of Office
are you using?
