How do I make a hyperlink not add the URL to my email text?

When I add a hyperlink to the signature of my emails, the URL itself shows
just after the text that I want to use for the link.

Hi,
open your signature
please mark your Text | right click | use the option"process hyperlinks"
there you can type the URL for your TEXT you want to show!

I am having the same problem in Outlook 2000. I tried it on a pc with
Outlook 2003 and it does not show the url, just the text. I havn't figured
out how to get Outlook 2000 to do this...

Thank you. The problem was actually still happening despite using the
hyperlink wizard. HOWEVER, on a whim, I told my co-worker (who was having the
problem) to change her font (she was using jester, I think) and that worked.
She's the only one in the office using a non-standard font, so it was
intially overlooked as a cause.

I discovered that the problem in my case was the font. My co-worker, who was
actually having the problem, was using a non-standard font (jester, I think).
Since everyone else didn't have any problem, we initially overlooked the font
as the cause until we realized that she is the only one using a different one.

As for Outlook 2000: (1) do you have your email format set to html? Also, go
to Tools | Options. Then click the Mail Format tab. Click the Signatures...
button. In the Create Signatures dialog box, select your signature and click
'Edit...' In the Edit Signature dialog, click 'Advanced Edit...'. This will
launch either Word (or FrontPage if you have it and it's your default html
editor). From there you can set your cursor where you want the link to be and
click 'Insert | Hyperlink...' After you're done be sure to Save your file in
the editor (Word or FrontPage). Then, close the editor (Word or FrontPage).
Click 'OK' in the Edit Signatures dialog; Click 'OK' to close the Create
Signatures dialog box. Click 'Apply' then 'OK' to close the 'Options' dialog.

I hope this helps!

Rob
