I have an emachine that I can not access the floppy or CD drive. It
tell me to go to the controls panel and run something I can't even
find. I also have other funny things happening so I just want to use
the cd that came with the emachine and get it to where it was when I
took it out of the box. If the CD will not access when I double click
on D can I just boot from the CD and have the drives on it do there
thing till I get a system reinstalled on the Hard Drive?
How do I boot up from the CD and bypass all on the hard disk?

Insert the CD into the tray. Cancel out of anything that comes up. Reboot.

To boot up from a CD you must set the CD drive as the
first boot device in the BIOS. To get into the BIOS, press
the appropriate key very early during the boot phase. On
many machines it is the Delete key. On others it is F2 or F12.
Read your PC's manual if you cannot figure out the correct
key for your own PC.
