How do I mail merge into a non standard email form

It apears I can't merge into the subject line of email & I have now designed
a new form with an additional field next to 'subject', however, when I go to
merge in email, it comes up with the standard email form & I'm back to square
one!!
 
Office doesn't support changing the subject in a mail merge or using a custom form to perform a merge. You might want to check out third-party merge tools; see http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail.htm#massmail
