How do I lock the print function of a PowerPoint presentation pos.

I am in an academin setting. We build ppt presentations for students and post
to web pages. They will print them and we want to lock the print function
from 'slides' to '3 per page' and 'black&white'

You may be able to control what the students print IF you can install an add-in
on each of their computers.

Shyam Pillai has an addin that might help, but he's updating it, so it's
temporarily unavailable:

A presentation file can't exert any sort of control like this over PowerPoint,
though.
 
convert the ppt to pdf and then set the security settings to do waht you
need, of course you will need full Acrobat or similar.
