I have WIN XPpro. I want to know how do i lock my
workstation (its a workgroup) to prevent other ppl
fiddeling with my PC when im away. I wish to do this
while my programs run uninterrupted. I donot want to log
off n log on.
Do we options to lock a workstation like in Windows 2000?

You can use the normal keys Ctrl-Alt-Del to lock the
workstation. If you want to automate, use the screen saver
function to define to lock the screen after a couple of
minutes. This won't interrupt any programs.

Copy this into notepad:
rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

Save it as lockstation.cmd and put it in your documents folder. Make a shortcut
for it and put the shortcut in your quicklaunch bar. When you want to lock the
workstation, click that shortcut and you'll have to enter your password to get
back in if your account has a password.
