How do I leave email on providers site as well as download?

Isn't there a way to leave my messages on my providers site for a specific
length of time after downloading them so they will be able to be retrieved
through their webmail? I looked all they 'tools' but don't see a way to set
it up. Can someone help me with this?

For POP email....

In Windows Mail/Live Mail
Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced
[x] Leave a copy of messages on server
[x] Remove from server after [xx] days
