Can I disable this, change the behavior?? I just want to select from the current carot position to the end of the line

SHIFT-END selects the like it is supposed to for me regardless of where my
cursor is. Is it possible that your CTRL key might be stuck?
CTRL-SHIFT-END selects from your cursor to the end of the document. Just a
SWAG!
