how do i keep the google icon "G".

i have an annoying problem,to which there must be an easy fix.
when i refresh my desktop the google icon is the only one which changes from
its "G" to the explorer default icon. i have to restart my computer ,go to
google main page and create shortcut, then all is well until i refresh again.
a simple answer must be available,please what is it? thankyou

You need to go to google.com, open your search utility, search for the word
favicon. Copy & Paste this search location: C:\Documents and Settings\Drew
Tognola\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5.
When the Google icon appears, Copy & Paste into a new personal icon folder.
Right-click the Google link, select Properties > Change Icon. Select
'Browse' and locate the saved icon.
ps-Favicons will disappear when your Temporary Internet Files are cleared
and you leave Google.com's site in the browser
