After inputting Product Key re: my Microsoft Office PPT 2003, I get following
message: Product key requires a version of Microsot Off '97, 2000 or XP to
upgrade. Do I need to buy something add'l? Why does my machine (fully
loaded and very expensive - new) not support this ppt install? Please
advise. Thanks!

I don't think it's anything to do with your machine, except that it's not loaded
with the one thing your software needs to complete the installation.

Sounds like you have an upgrade version of PPT2003, not the full deal. In order
to upgrade, you need to own a qualifying prior version of the product to upgrade
*from*. It's asking for proof. I think you can let it sniff at the CD from a
prior version and it'll be happy, but I'm not sure.
