I had Office 2000 installed, then installed Adobe Pro v6. No button appeared
in Word. I then updated Adobe Pro to v6.0.1. Still no button. I then
uninstalled Adobe Pro and reinstalled it with upgrade. Still no button. I
am able to go into Word and Print to an Adobe PDF Printer, which creates the
PDF file. I want the buttoon. How do I get it?

Thanks,
Alice Campbell

Close Word. Place a copy of the PDFMAKER.DOT file in the Office 2003
startup folder (which is "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office11\Startup" by default, but may be different in your
computer). Start Word. Click on Tools | Macro | Security | Trusted
Sources | check the "Trust all installed templates and add-ins" box | OK.

The PDFMAKER.DOT was already there. All the boxes were checked this way.
The only problem I saw was that the Adobe Systems Inc. certificate by
VeriSign expired 1/12/2004. But I also went to Security Level and checked
the box that allows me to say whether to accept things or not (Medium), so I
ought to be able to over ride this. But there is still no button, no place
on the file menu, nothing. I closed and started Word again after doing all
this.
