Every time I turn on my computer I get a window on my desktop called
Microsoft LDAP Directory with stuff in it about connection details etc. I
have to close it and then my computer carries on and loads my homepage. It
started doing this a few weeks ago for no reason.

I would be please to help you with that matter unfortunately you will need to
allow me access to your pc. If you are still interested or you want to tell
me more about it, my email address is (e-mail address removed). With that
email, I can use REMOTE ASSISTANCE to see your DESKTOP and fix the issue
for you.
The reason why I can't tell you what to do is because exactly where you
should go and I dont want to give any advice that would bring you more
issues. It is up to you to decide. LPDA is most of the time about
configurations so if you want to still attempt something, well you can try
these two solutions
Find Option:
in the window, if there is a menu bar click Tools; Options; and find
somewhere it says start with windows; disable or uncheck depends on what they
ask you.

Another way would be:
System Restore:
System restore option use 12 percent your hard disk to keep information so
that if you have any problem with you pc today you can restore to an earlier
time before the issues started.
- Click Start Button; Help and Support; In the pick a task list Click the
"Undo changes on your computer using System Restore." Then you will have to
options, i would rather you take the 1st option, find a date that is before
you started having this problem with your computer and restore it.
PS: Sometimes the restoring point you choose has no data found in it
therefore the system restore will try but won't succeed. Do know that you can
try again, using another date.

Last option, Go to any community college or University around your house
and they will tell you what is wrong and if it is fixable at the instant they
will fixe it for you for free.
