How do I get rid of "Hidden Data" in Word 97? I am
trying to remove the hidden data from a document that has
gone out for review and has a lot of edits that were made
in the track changes mode.

Print it as a pdf file.

The only way to assure that readers can't see the tracked changes in your document is to accept or reject all changes (in a copy if necessary) before sending the file. You might also want to see "HOW TO: Minimize Metadata in Microsoft Word 2000 Documents" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=237361.

I figured there had to be one but I couldn't find it in TechNet; this
exposed a defect in the "Word" filter I use to search the KB (syntax changed
<sigh>).
