How do I get rid of author information in a .doc file

I am typing a position paper for a political candidate.
I don't want my name to be associated with the paper
because it is not my paper, nor are the thoughts mine.
This file could be sent to media folks. The file should
be associated with the candidate, not with me. Help?

Once the draft is acceptable, print to a PDF file. That's more
useful, anyway, because it's less susceptible to modification and
more available to viewing on a variety of platforms. Not everyone
has Word....
 
Note that Acrobat by default saves document information (Properties) to
PDFs.
