i'm trying to set up outlook to access my school e-mail account. the
university uses web outlook access for our accounts. i'm having trouble
getting it to be recognized. i assume it needs to be set up as a pop3
account, but when i put the address for the log in screen, it says that it is
unable to log in. all of the info is correct. also, i don't know what the
outgoing server would be.
if anyone could help, i would really appreciate it.

As u said university uses Web Outlook so you need to know whats the HTTP
address and then add that while selecting HTTP as the incoming Mail Server.
In case your university allows POP3 access (which you need to cross check
from the Computer department) then u should ask for the IP address of the
POP3 server and SMTP IP address(in most cases it is same). Then fill in the
IP addresses in POP3 and SMTP (for outgoing) .

Web access means your school uses Exchange for the mail server and it may
simply not allow outside connections to that server. Ask your school's IT
people if RCP over HTTP, POP, or IMAP access is allowed. They can also tell
you the settings.
