I seem to have to use the "SEND?RECEIVE" button to get my messages when I
first open the program. Can't this happen automatically?

Also, I get a duplicate copy of all incoming mail. How do I "fix" this?
Thanks

In tools, email accounts, view/modify (next), go to the properties of your
POP account - you can specify auto send/receive intervals there.

W/r/t duplicates - if your connection to the POP server is interrupted for
some reason, or there's a corrupt message in your inbox on the server, this
can happen. Outlook doesn't get the chance to give the POP server the 'all
clear' to delete messages. Does this happen all the time? Have you gone into
your mailbox on your ISP's webmail page or checked at www.mail2web.com to
see what's in there? Do you have a slow connection to the Internet, and is
your second cousing sending you 3MB photo attachments?

Also check the properties of your POP account (advanced) to see if 'leave a
copy of messages on server' is checked - it can cause this problem, too.

Thank you for your help!
