How do I get my Organisational Charts to work in XP?

I have organisational charts built in Power Point in microsoft 2000 version I think.

Now that I've changed over to XP I'm getting the following message:

"MicroSoft Organization Chart Server application can not be found. Contact your system administrator to install this server application".

I've spoken to my ITguy but he had no idea, checked my system etc and said all seemed to be installed correctly, said he was going to check with someone who was more familiar with Powerpoint but still I have no luck.

Can anyone out there help me with this problem, I don't want to have to recreate these charts from scratch in the new version.

Cheryl;
Do you have Power Point installed on this computer?
Power Point and other Microsoft Office Products have never been a part
of any operating system.

Jupiter,

Yes, I should have explained, this message appears when I have the actual document I want open and I have clicked into the area of the chart to edit that chart.

So yes, PP is installed on the computer because I can view the files, I just can't edit them.
tks,

You may want to try un-installing PP and then re-install it.

You may want to check with a PowerPoint newsgroup. I looked through Office
2003 installation options and do not find reference to a "Microsoft
Organizational Chart Server". The following training site for PowerPoint
2003 also does not refer to the Chart Server:

http://office.microsoft.com/trainin...TT=1&Origin=EC010229811033&QueryID=QQb5Frmxs0

Is it possible that you created the chart in another application such as
Viso {which I do not have} that required the Chart Server?

When Office was installed, was the Organization Chart converter
installed? It's not by default; a custom installation must be
performed to get it.

It looks like Bruce has an answer that addresses the same issue I was
trying to address, but he had the additional knowledge to give you the right
suggestion.

Bruce,

My IT guy said that when he installed the Office products he chose "Full Install". Would this have included the custom install for the Organisational chart converter - or would it be something that has to be done separate?

Greetings --

The typical "full" install does _not_ include such extras. Your
"IT guy" really should know this.
