How do I get my email to open full size when I click on it?

When I open an email, it comes up in the down screen size instead of full
screen so I have to bring it to full size. If I want to reply, I have to go
through the same process as well. I have not been able to find out how to
change this. My technical skills are not very strong. I can follow
instructions but am not great at finding the proper instructions.
 
open a message, make it full size then close it immediately. The next
messages you open should use the same size.

Open a new message and expand its size by dragging the borders of the
window. Don't use the maximize button. The window size should be
remembered.
