What you want is called a repair install. This is a procedure that is
located in a XP retail disk. Jym

I doun't have the cd at hand though. The earlyest I can get it would be a week and a half, but i need my system running A.S.A.P. Isn't there any other way? I just need to get onto my C drive and save my stuff to my D drive. Than I can reformat C drive and than load back everything that I saved to my D drive.

Have you tried starting in "safe mode"? (repeatedly press F5 during the boot
sequence and select safe mode when the menu appears on the screen)
