how do i get microsoft word?

i havent got microsoft word on my computer at all. i only have wordpad which
is no good to me. i really need this and i do not know how to download it or
get it installed onto my computer.. can anybody help??
 
Microsoft Word is a commercial application that must be purchased. It cannot
be downloaded from anywhere. Although it can be purchased as a single
package or as part of the Office Suite, by far the most reasonable
(cheapest) way to get it is as part of Works Suite 2005, which includes a
full version of Word 2002, plus five
other useful applications (see
http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=001). It is
currently offered at Amazon for $89 (with free shipping), and there is a $20
Microsoft rebate in effect through January 1, 2006, reducing the effective
price to $69.
