How do I get around the row limitation in excel?

I have been using Excel for looking at some DNA genotyping data. Recently,
my data set has gotten very large, greater than 120,000 rows, so I am unable
to use excel. Is there something that is available from microsoft that will
allow me to get around the row limitation?
