How do I find out if I have a wireless adapter enabled?

HELP!! I went under "Network Connections" and found nothing about wireless
connections... but the redistributer I got this laptop from said I had an
internet wireless card (or something)... so how do i find it?

I'm trying to hook up my wireless router and can't get it set up because I
don't know if I have a wireless adaptor. Do I need something else?
 
If you read your manual it will tell you where to look for a tiny little
invisible switch on the side of the laptop, turns on the wifi card
- redistributor, huh ?
