How do I Export Vista windows mail to Outlook 2003

Would like to export mail from Vista windows mail to Outlook 2003.
Tried everything... but get error msg: The export could not be performed an
error occurred while initializing MAPI.....
Any help Please. Thanks

Windows mail must be set as the Default Email Client, not Outlook, before
you can export AFAIR....
 
I know you are really trying to help me but I am lost now as to what to
do...or where to find defults.
I can delete defult in outlook??? sorry but I am not good at this.. I know
just enough to get myself in trouble... step by step when and if you have
time today.

Click on Start-Control Panel-Internet Options. Then go to the Programs tab
and in the drop-down box set Windows Mail as the default email program.
